Honestly, she looks way younger than her actual age. And that is a genuine compliment though she doesn't quite like being thought of as ''little''.

What's interesting about her:

She's a really lovely girl. Has a gentle and quiet spirit. And the thing about her is, she's simply lovable.(I dun even think she has any enemies unless ppl are jealous of her.lol.) I just loveeeeeeee her to bits! And she is the one true friend who has stuck with me thru thick and thin after all these years.=) Despite our physical distance.
Oh,and did i mention she has a pair of mesmerizing natural hazel eyes?you'll have to come up close to see..

Well, he is special because he is unique. No one else on the face of this earth is exactly like him. That itself makes him special already.Correct?

What's interesting about him:

Ok, something happened recently..He accidentally took my stapler (or was it scissors?) and made me search high and low for it in the library. Someone told me he took it so i too searched for him.But when i confronted him, he gave me this 'huh?' look and said he didn't take it.
Later, i found it on the library desk.Somehow it miraculously reappeared. So i guess that makes him interesting cuz now i remember him clearly due to that incident...=D ( I know u didn't take it, sorry for the confusion also. Haha)

My comments:

Dads' Day

Yesterday we celebrated Father's Day. =)
nd marshmallows with chocolate fountain, but unfortunately, they didn't serve that in Coronade.(My siblings told me they had that in Prince hotel's buffet..but i wasn't there the other time.) And another variety they lacked-- japanese food. Sushi and miso soup and all. But thank God i'm not a fan of sushis and the likes...i just find them too raw and inedible. Lol.

Overall, the buffet was one
My family and I went to church in the morning and after the service, we went to Coronade hotel for high tea. It's like a buffet where you can eat as much as you want, from 1 pm right up till 5pm.Honestly, you can eat till you bloat with the amount of scrumptious food available.

By 3pm, my stomach capacity had already reached its maximum. You know,i even took a plate of pasta but i left it on the table cuz i really couldn't eat it anymore.......lol.I really didn't wanna waste..especially such delicious food.I thought i could still stuff it in but i just couldn't.Really, really couldn't. One tiny bite almost caused me to spit it out but i swallowed it anyway. And for those of you who know me or have seen me ate, u would understand that my stomach storage for food is probably equivalent to that of a mice. (Or perhaps, even smaller.)

Anyway, i would love to show u the varieties of food they offered but i won't be able to upload any pics from my phone into my blog for the moment, not until i get a new cellphone.Hopefully, latest by early next year.My current phone only has a VGA camera, ever since the previous one got stolen. So..do bear with me yea!

But lets see....i'll just roughly list down what i ate...=P
- Lasagna with rich cheese toppings. (Really yummmmmy)
- Crabsticks and some fried fritters.
- Spaghetti fettucini
- Mango Chicken with what-tasted-like-lemon gravy (Anyone tried that before? It's my first and definitely not the last. It was good!)

My second helping:
- Fruit salad and some kind of salad with minced chicken.
- A pink cendol-like drink with jellies inside.

That was all i could take for the 2nd round. = /

Ahh...DESSERTS! I had 'Tau foo fa'. The brown sugar they served aren't as tasty as those sold by vendors outside but it was still pretty good. What else...i had two slices of cake. One cappucino and another a creamy one. And who can live without ice creams? Haha. I had vanilla with chocolate fondue plus nuts. =P

Seriously, i think i need to work out after all the heavy eating. There were times when i even forced myself to gorge the food cuz i couldn't bear to let the foods go to waste. There were other foods which i didnt try...i just nibbled a bit here and there from my brother's plate...like satay, 'ikan bakar', roasted chicken, etc.

I was looking forward to eating fruits awhich left me physically very satisfied.=D I'm pretty sure my stomach was beaming with glee but my digestive system would probably had had a tough time trying to churn and shred the extra food i consumed.( Imagine all the calories man...)

Oh, our family also won a 2days 1 night stay for two in the hotel as a result of winning a competition they organized during the high tea.Yay! My sis and bro + my dad, went up front and participated in a few games. In fact, they took part in all games except one. 'Daddy's Favourite' game and a cake deco competition. We won the first game and got fourth for the deco thingy. There was this 'Macho man' competition which involved two of my uncles, minus my dad.Neither of them managed to take home the travel voucher cuz one pulled out at the end and another lost out to 2 other uncles in singing. lol. Guess what? my uncle sang a hokkien song when the others sung in english. Oh..one of them sang a children's nursery rhymes. Haha. It was just pure hillarious. But i admire his spontaneity!

I'm glad i went for this high tea. Though it left me with a headache, literally. (Probably cuz i ate too much and started feeling nauseated) But the fun and fellowship we had was worthwhile. And most importantly is that my dad and all the other daddys had their share of enjoyment.

Here's wishing my coolest dad a Blessed "belated" Father's Day and also to my greatest Heavenly Father.=D
You both rock to the max! You've always given everything yet demanded nothing.
THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart.

Taste and See that the Lord is Good!

Many things happened this week itself.

Well, it's back to school and studying for me! Was really lookin' forward to school..but at the same time..i wished the 2 weeks hols were extended so i could sleep longer daily. lol.

Anyway, on Sunday night before school the next day..i actually cried myself to sleep. So many problems occurred at the exact same time and i guess i just couldn't take the pressure and eventually broke into tears..

I argued with my dad about something really petty actually. To him,at least. But for me, someone messing up my maths notes which took me such a long time to arrange and also being unwilling to apologize for it really ticks me off. And so..the war of the words began. As usual, i'll end up crying whenever i argue..but i always try to conceal it cuz i dun like exposing my vulnerability.Lol.

We were having lunch at home when tat quarrel sparked, and i kinda lost my appetite to eat cuz my tear ducts were getting all welled up. So i quickly went upstairs into my room to prevent others from noticing.I began to sob uncontrollably. Many thoughts flashed thru my mind....and all of a sudden, all the other existing problems which had been lying dormant for some time just seemed to come "alive". My dad said something during the argument which really struck me. It wasn't something very nasty, but it was enough to cause me to think about the extent of truth in what he said. You know...he always said the same thing when we argue...but it hit me real hard this time.

Probably i realized what he said was really evident in my life, that's why i felt so miserable about it. Other thoughts began to flood my mind as well.I began to wonder why my worship is so ineffective, if i may use the word.I know i shouldn't use my own measurements to determine the effectiveness of my worship...or whether it is pleasing to God or not, but somehow, i guess it's still human nature to make comparisons at times. And another situation was about my relationship with someone very important to me. I wonder why we always end up disagreeing with one another about something, which eventually leads to dissatisfaction on both sides, even though it's really nothing to be worked up about.

And so, all the teeny weeny problems accumulated and i felt like i just got repeated blows on my face.Ok, probably that was a bit exaggerated, but i did feel completely drained, hopeless and helpless at that point..I took a look at the mirror and saw that my eyes were all swollen and my face looked so worn out from all the crying. And i decided to sleep. Thats what i normally do. At least it helps me to get temporary relief..=)

But during the process of my trials and problems, i really thank the Lord that he helped me to turn to Him first. Normally, i would spill my probs to a close friend, but this time, i chose to share my burdens with the Lord instead. I dunno what prompted me to do that..but something within me urged me strongly. And what a wise decision it was. =)

1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Indeed, He does.

*****

The Lord sent me people who encouraged me with scripture verses from the Bible.Let me share one of the wonderful verses with you!

James 1: 2-4 " Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

It's such a beautiful verse which impacted me tremendously and the words just spoke right into my heart. I've memorized it so i can reflect on it whenever i need some spiritual uplifting. Haha. And its good to memorize the Word of God so we may use it to encourage others who are also facing tough times.

The Lord also lead me to open my praise and worship songbook...and i flipped randomly and came to a page where 'God will make a way' was. I began to sing and worshiped the Lord in my room. You know..it's really difficult to worship the Lord when you're feeling so gloom, but the Lord says we have to praise Him even in times of troubles. I flipped again and came to 'Lord, I offer you my life'.

That song just melted me completely. The lyrics....gosh....i felt like they were written for me. Tears rolled down my cheeks even as i pondered on the lyrics.. And i was reassured about God's goodness and never ending grace in my life. I knew right then that i didn't have to worry about anything at all but everything, big and small, is in His hands. My past, my present and my future...He will definitely use them to bring Him glory though i may not understand His plans for me as yet. But, i just need to surrender and trust the Lord completely yea...=D

Like a song goes.." You have turned my mourning into dancing....You have turned my sorrow into joy...", how true it is! Just can't help but break forth in praise because of the greatness of Jesus. =D

Once you've tasted the goodness of the Lord, you'll surely go running after Him for more! yummmmmy!

Try Him =P

Psalm 34:8 "Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him."

The Beginning of my Blogging Journey

Hey'all!

First and foremost, this blog is really long overdue. I signed up for blogspot about a year ago..but it didn't workout due to a very frustrating incident. You see...i typed a really looooooooong post..and i saved it to my drafts. However, when i logged on the next time, i found out that my post was GONE! I tried ways and means to retrieve the post but to no avail. I was really so upset i told myself i would never blog on blogspot,at least not until my STPM exams were over with. In fact, i made a vow to myself. (But obviously,i broke it.)

Okay, so exactly why am i here then?

Lets just say the urge to blog finally got the better of me. And i've always kept a journal until a couple of years ago when i stopped writing daily..So i figured a blog would be a good way to channel my thoughts.Mostly purely for my own pleasure. However, readers and comments are always most welcomed.=)

Lastly, the entire setup of this blog is done by my loveliest bestie, JEANNIE CHEAH. *round of applause for her* =D
She created my existing blog for me, with almost zero effort on my part. Lol. Besides providing her with my details.
Thank you so much dearest..really couldn't have done it without you.Not a very tech savvy person myself ya know..haha..Really,thanks a bunch!

Alritey, am lookin' forward to blogging and more blogging in future.Haha.

Have a great day all you who are reading this! Thanks too,for dropping by.Hope to "see" you again yea..=P
