Come to the banquet

That's a clever summary, but would you accept it as a substitute for your Bible? i hope not. It would be like choosing a bag of fries over an eight-course meal, no? But how often do we treat the Scriptures like a spiritual fast food? We grab and bite and run instead of taking time to sit at the feet of the Lord.

God has a banquet for each of us. It's filled with wisdom, insight, understanding, and His own promises. But it takes time to sit and savour the meal.=)

Rushed? Stressed? Feeling overwhelmed? Come to the banquet, sit and savour and enjoy what the Saviour has prepared for you.

I couldn't help feeling convicted of my lack of time spent with the Lord and tears welled up in my eyes when i read that..And i felt i really had to type that out to share it with all of you.
I admit i've been living for too long without the most essential bread of all---His living Word.
And it's a wonder how one can survive without ''eating'' bread for days! I should have died of starvation.

But it's never too late, the Lord says.
And i'm encouraged by this verse,

'Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.'

Lamentations 3: 22-23~

Aren't you glad the Lord is ever merciful and gracious to us even when we've failed him again and again?
Now, would you describe your daily quiet time with God as fast food or a feast? What would you like it to be?

It's time we gave Him what He desrves from us---our TIME.
