Rojak-ed Post

Just came back from a new concept mamak with my family at Tmn Permaisuri called 'Q' Bistro. haha.
Bistro you ask?
The concept is really neat. And its decorated to look like an upper class kopitiam.
Guess the kopitiam concept has really taken our country by storm eh?
From Old Town to Pappa Rich to Pak Hailam and now a mamak called bistro?
WOW.
What next?
..................
(fill in the blanks)

It's my mummy's bday today by the way!
She turning 37!
Happy Birthday mummy! =)
hahaha.
I was just kiddin of course.
But you have to admit, my mum looks like she's my sister!
at least some people do say so.And by some, i mean alot.
Don't have a recent pic of her now..but she looks flattering in person.teehee.
And im a splitting image of her.
Not i cakap punya okie..But well, i guess its true.

Went to Hotel Nikko last week to celebrate Josh's parents anniversary. =)
The food was awesome possum.hehe.
But what i enjoyed most was the company. Oh, and taking photos. =p

Us
Weee! me like how Josh's shirt looks so fitting on him. And it's a gift from me.=P
As for the dress im wearing, its Graphic Dash, from Dr.Pizzicato itself.

Coach Signature Patent Stripe Tote in Magenta.
arrrgh.
Love of all loves.
*faints*

I worked hard for this.
Well, probably not that hard actually..
hmm.
But at least im coming out with my own moolahs(cash) to purchase this baby.

Dad will never come out with a cent for these kinda things.
Even mummy, although i reckon she would, with a bit of persuasion, but no.
If i want anything which is beyond basic necessities, it has to come from my own pocket.
That includes even flip flops and moisturizers.
Designer or luxury items are out of the question.haha.

And it feels better when you purchase something with your own sweat and blood.
Not relying on others' hard earned money.
=)

Can't wait for it to arrive from the States.
I simply loveee the shade of hot pink, its so so sweeeet and feminine.
Wanted to get a classic brown one..just like an LV monogram..but then again, i want to delay being an aunty for a lil while more... (=
And Magenta is simply such a gorgeous shade, don't ya think?
And i almost couldn't get my hands on it.huhu.
thankfully, got it.
*squeals!*

Just had a hair cut with Josh on Thursday.
Trimmed the frizzy ends and my very long fringe.
But why my hair looks so short now wan...?
And he had almost like a total makeover with his hair! haha
Me like. =D
At least it looks less like a bird's nest? teehee
Can lay eggs already..
And also, he can think better with the extra weight chopped off his head.

His finals is next week.
All the best dearie. =)
It's the final straw, just give your best shot.

Oh..and..and..the haicut for the both of us only cost us RM 20. ;)
Yeah..we're cheapskates in a way.
Muahahaha.

Shoe Frenzy.. and other minute rants

I'm actually very much in love with em Go Jane shoes now.
They're just so so tempting!
Well, im not exactly shopping, cuz i dun actually walk around malls to shop.
Haven't really got time for those since im quite caught up with my day job and online boutique.
This is my last month teaching tuition too,by the way.=P

With just the click of a mouse, i get to place my order and then wait for those gorgeous heels to arrive at my doorstep.
Takes about 3 weeks for these shoes to be shipped from the States.
Since these are imported from the States, the price is also pretty hefty.*really burning a hole in my pocket.gargh*
But when you slip on these heels, you can't help but feel its all worth the dwindling bank account and the long wait.
HAHA.
But honestly, they are real comfy!!
My first batch of orders includes this:

Phyton Wedge.
Ah, wedges!
the kind of shoes that marries comfort and style! =)
me like.

and

Carrie Bradshaw heels, as seen in Sex in the City.
Haven't got an exact pic..hmm.
But it looks exactly like this:
Except that its tan colour blocks and is made of velvet! =D

Wore my 5'' Bradshaw heels to church today.
Some of you may have noticed it.=P

And my latest splurge includes these two one-of-a-kind heels:

Again, wedges!
They're actually the only kind of shoes i can wear for hours, including a trip to the mall, without hurting my soles.=)))
Now you know why i lovee em?
This Chesnut Studded wedges has such a rock and roll vibe to it.
I'm really so into the rock chic look nowadays.
Don a biker jacket and floral dress to get that very 'London' look.
And oxford booties too, if you'd like.=)

See the carved heels!
*yummm*
They're what i call Architectural heels.
I had a tough time deciding what colour to get, cuz there was lavender, black, yellow, etc.
But i finally decided to get this in turquoise cuz its just such an exlcusive shade!
And of course, its pretty easy to match this with my clothes.hehe.

Hopefully these heels are meant for walking~

Just had my first ever Dr.Pizzicato (that's my e-boutique, for those of you who don't know yet) bazaar at SoHo KL, Solaris Mont Kiara last Saturday.=)
Here's how my humble booth looked like:

Each vendors are given a 6 feetx6 feet selling space.
Not very spacious actually.
The distance between vendors is only about 1 feet.

Twas really really hot. Only air coolers provided with the sun basking in its glory. As if trying to squeeze the very sweat out of us.
But i couldn't complain, could i?
afterall, i was the one who was so gung-ho about this whole bazaar idea.haha.

And the whole family troop had to tag along to show their moral support for me.=D
Thanks so very much mum, dad and sis. *And bro, even though you were busy marching at your NS camp in Melaka. Missing you!*
And of course, not forgetting dear Josh who stayed with me from 10am to close to 10pm.
Which is a long stretch of 12 hours.
And who bought me sandwiches and red dates can drinks from Cold Storage when i was almost fainting from excessive heat.
Thanks so much for your sacrifice dearie.=)

And its no wonder i got such a dark tan!
Imagine having the sun shining directly at you for at least 6 hours. =/

Anyway, i would still say it was a great experience!
Manage to sell quite a number items eventhough not as much as i would have liked.hehe.
And to be honest, the crowd wasn't even close to 7000, as promised.
But still, i should pat myself on the back for managing it thus far, don't ya think? =)
And also, i couldn't have done it with the Lord favour and the support of my loved ones.

On a separate note, here's a few of my latest collections from Dr.Pizzicato:

A Grecian Goddess dress.
Available in Creamy Beige, Black, Innocent white and Nude Grey.
I totally heart the amazing chiffon material and those detailed ruchings!
Makes it look very ethereal.
And who doesn't like dual toned pieces with a tulip cut skirt, aye?
It's simply too good to resist.
*and the photo fails to demonstrate how awesome it actually is in reality!*

A kerchief maxi dress.=)
Love the floral burst and array of colours.
Happy happy happy.=D
And its downright affordable okaaay..
only RM 49.
*Normally maxis retails at at least RM 55-60*

Haha this is quite a massive update, with over 10 or more items updated at once!
Ranging from high waisted denims, zippy dresses, ruffles, polkas, vintage bags and Chanel-inspired ones.
Eveything which is so in this very moment.;)

Be sure to check it out at Dr.Pizzicato, and if you see anything you like, just beep me alritey.=)
Online shopping is easier than you think.
No fuss, no muss.
Click away already! ahaha

Cheersssss.

Is it wrong to do right?

My question is very simple:
Is it wrong to do right?

You know what you're doing is right. It can't be wrong.
Cuz it is in line with your conscience..unless of course you've totally shut out your own conscience or that little voice within which will eventually make every wrong seem right.
But in my case, even God's word has confirmed what im doing is right.
The Scriptures have confirmed it.
Various incidences has served to be a warning and confirmation.

But it seems like the whole world is caving in around me..
It has become so much of a normality that the wrong is beginning to seem right.
And the thing which saddens me most is..even the closest around me are hurting as a result of my decisions..

Is it wrong to do right?
Is it wrong to not conform to the pattern of this world and comply with God's will?

'Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.'
~Romans 12:2

I guess it is true that obedience has a price to pay.
It doesn't come easy.
But until i see Him face to face, I will continue to run the race with eternity in mind.
Temporal pleasures shouldn't hinder me from walking in the way that is pleasing to the Lord.
Because when i stand before the throne of judgement, i want to be able to hear my Lord say :' Well done, good and faithful servant.'

That will be the ultimate joy and reward.

Happy Birthday Syn Wei =)

Michelle, Kuan, the Bday princess, Pei Gin and yours truly~

We celebrated Syn Wei's birthday at Pavilion today.
Miss Meticulous has finally turned 20. ;)
A very blessed birthday to you sweets~

T'was really great!
Being able to see my beloved friends' and this time, not in uniforms..It somehow brings about a very different feeling. haha.
I guess it's cuz we have been seeing each other in uniforms for the past one and a half year. XD
It's as if we have all grown up.

Michelle and Syn Wei ..and even Kuan Nien, was looking all fit for work. Very sophisticated indeed.
As a matter of fact, Kuan Nien came directly from the primary school where he is teaching now.=) hence, the formal neck ties and all. haha.
As for Pei Gin and I, we looked..well..nice, i suppose.haha. Love how the teal dress Pei Gin was wearing fits her so well. =)
And you know something? the dress was from my e-boutique,Dr.Pizzicato. muahaha. Feel real happy to see a satisfied customer wearing clothes from my virtual store! hee hee

While waiting for their arrival..i decided to go window shopping at Topshop. My all time favourite high-street label. Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins too actually.;)
I was really spoiled for choices..there were so many quirky and vintagey dresses. And even the basic ones were to die for.
But oh well, i wasn't intending on doing some real shopping, so i only brought in one piece to try.=) *Normally i'd bring in the maximum of 5*

the minute i saw this dress, it was love at first sight.
I simply love the heart-shaped bustier and the empire cut of this dress.
Oh, and the lil' candy coloured hearts too!
They make the entire dress look so cheery! =D

Im soooo into colours these days.
Colours,colours..they totally brighten up an outfit. =)

*Notice those gladiator wedges? teehee.
Just got them this morning. ;P
They're a beauty*

Hmm!
Wud love to bring in a similar dress if i do see one like this from my supplier.
What do ya think? =))))
And it would three times cheaper. haha.

The fun in online shopping is that you get designer or high street inspired goodies for a fraction of the price. How awesome!

******

Oh, i'll be having my first offline bazaar this coming 25th. Yup, April this month.=)
It's called A Fair Weekend bazaar. Would be held in SoHo KL at Solaris, Mont Kiara. =)
And the organizers are expecting about 7000 over crowds too. Yea..its that big. =D
Am really excited bout it!
Probably will get to meet some of my customers face to face as well..hehe.. and for the experience too. =) that would be invaluable.

So if you're free on the 25th of April, which is in 2 weeks time, do come and support yea!
Gals, bring your galfrens along..and guys, bring your girlfriends.=) im sure they'll be delighted.hahaha.

Obedience brings Revelation~
=)

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

You've gotta know this.

Just wanna thank the Lord once again for His everlasting faithfulness.
Indeed, He is and always will be, the El Shaddai, the All Sufficient God. The One who is More than Enough for us.

I still remember that day when Josh told me how sad and depressed he was...he had had a very rough week indeed.
One, his car was saman-ed by DBKL.
Two, his car got clamped at McD.
Lastly, he lost his Final Year Project just when the due date was the following week!

Anyone could have been in despair if they were in his shoes.

We were supposed to go for CG that night when he told me about what happened. The lost of his FYP was the final blow.
Right after that, he totally lost the mood to do anything. Just wanted to sleep it off in hopes that this will all be just a bad dream.
But i knew that the best thing to do in such circumstances was to go for CG. Cuz when you take your focus off yourself, somehow it helps you feel slightly more relieved. It give you less time to dwell on the state of your own problems.

And as if to challenge our faith and perseverance, the rain started pouring so heavily that we got stucked in a jam while on the way to Ee Yan's place.
But i knew in my heart that God would honour our deeds~

Finally arrived there at almost half an hour later. oops!
We had discussions about Contemporary issues such as abortion, test tube babies, etc.
I was really enjoying the discussion.hehe. But i could also sense that he was so worn out and upset that he wasn't even paying attention to the discussions.

Fast forward to 2 hours later,
he sent me home. But right before i got down, as promised, i said i would wanna pray with him about the whole matter.
Cuz the Bible says, 'Where two or three are gathered in My name, there I will be in their midst.'

So i prayed that God would increase our faith and that the project would be found the next day, which was Saturday.
By the way, Josh's project was due on Monday!
We only had 2 days to find it. And he hasn't even completed the project. Talk about anxiety.

We all know in human abilities this would have been impossible. But His Word says, ''What is impossible with man is possible with God''.
Luke 18:27
We just have to believe it!
Remember, God said, even if you have faith of a mustard seed, you WILL be able to move mountains. As in, physical mountains like Mount Everest okay.
And mustard seeds are really the tiniest seeds ever. They are as small as a fullstop.
Yes, like this,
.
.
.
See how tiny they are? (yes, i've seen those seeds.)

And God didn't say 'You might' or 'You probably can', but He said, You WILL.
And when God says something, He never, i repeat, never goes back on His words.
His words will not return to Him void.

*******

And so after praying, we could only trust God for the best. And just totally and wholly believe we would be able to find it. For without Faith, it is impossible to please God.

And guess what?
The next morning, Josh texted me to say that his friend, Tham had found his project back in college!
Miracle miracle!

I was working at Starbucks that time, and was reading a book cuz i was so free.. But when i read that sms, i was so elated that tears began to flow.
I must have been deemed a lil crazy but i didn't care. Cuz once again, God has proved His faithfulness.
I just couldn't help praising Him there and then! ( i dunno where my manager went that time..but surprisingly, as if in God's perfect timing, he wasn't anywhere near me.)
Cuz if he saw me with tears in my eyes, that might have worried him.haha.

Just wanna praise God wholeheartedly.
The Lord reemphasizes to me that He is indeed a prayer answering God.
He always is. Eventhough He might seem to be distant at times, but He is attentive to even the slightest whispers.

*****

On a separate note,
just wanna praise God for healing my migraine today! yay!
I only vomited once.
Normally it would linger for the whole day...with vomits in between. And my head would fell like it was going to burst out of the excruciating pain. But thank the Lord, after praying and acting on His scriptures about healing, i was healed even during work itself.
But i still came back early to rest. =)

God bless ya'all!
Taste and discover for yourself that the Lord is GOOD.
God is not a respecter of persons.
So if He can do it for Josh and me,
He can too, for YOU. =)
