Its the year 2012

Its been exactly 10 months since i last blogged...(the last post was on the 5th of march 2011..what a coincidence!)

wow...time really flies. And here we are, in the year 2012. :)

Sorry (to myself mostly) and whoever out there who is actually still checking out this blog.LOL.. apologies for this long hiatus.

Recently the urge to pen down my thoughts in the form of blogging has been coming at me quite a lot.Its always good to read back on previous posts and take yourself down the trip to memory lane :)

So maybe...just MAYBE..i might start jotting down my thoughts here once in awhile. Or NOT! O.O Hahaha.
anyhow, its just for my own musings and recollection so yea... :)

It's the 5th day of year 2012 and i still have 5 more final exam papers to countdown to before i can officially declare 'HOLIDAYS!' ;)

Time truly flies, no? i still have only 2 more semesters before i graduate. Felt like it was just days ago when i first landed at Johor. That's 4 years of slogging for a piece of cert. haha.

Its more than the song

I'm really blessed by these twin sisters, Janice and Sonia..who are YouTube sensations. Just a song i would like to share.:)
Their voices are no doubt beautiful..but whats more amazing is how they are using the media to influence our generation for Christ through their songs and their life testimony.

DON'T QUIT

Sorry ive been away for soooo long...Rily salute people who blog consistently. It does take lotsa will power ya know? haha

Here's something to share..My mum gave me this card 5 yrs ago and im still keeping it. In it, there's words of treasures that will motivate and give u that much needed boost!

'When Things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

when the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

when the funds are low and the debts are high,

and you want to smile , but you have to sigh,

when care is pressing you down a bit.....

Rest if you must, but DON'T YOU QUIT!

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

as every one of us sometimes learns,

and many a fellow turns about

when he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don;t give up though the pace seems slow....

you may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out...

the silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are,

it may be near when it seems afar,

so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,

it's when things seem worst that you

MUSTN'T QUIT!

Guess all of us needs this kinda words of encouragement every once in awhile eh?
I'm actually not in the 'down' season of my life now..But i suppose this will help a few (or many) of you who are finding it hard to carry on.
Like the poem says, rest if you must, but NEVER EVER QUIT.:)

Faith can move mountains!

Wow. Its been really dusty in here eh..(:
*sweeps dust off blogger*

Not that nothing much has been happening over the past 2months..In fact, alot has happened over the last two months.:)

If i could, i would love to update every now and then so i myself can look back on what i've done and be reminded of what has happened in the past. But anyways, one of the reasons why my blog has been lacking in updates is because these days.. i just directly record my thoughts, interesting events, and important stuffs into my journal :)

Blogging is just an avenue for me to share some stuffs which i find may be helpful to some..even if not many..out there.hehe. Anyways, i also dunno why am i talking about why i did not blog....lol

But today, just wanted to share a testimony (like i always do) hehe
Cuz if something great has happened, I believe the person who made that something great happen should be credited. And in this case, its none other than The Lord Jesus Christ! :)

See, im currently involved in my uni's orientation week (for the new student batches). Im involved in the protocol dept..the job scope which includes doing MCeeing for events, ushering and stuff..
Most of the bros and sis' from my CG are also involved..but they're mostly facilitators..which i think, is much tougher. They barely have any time to rest.:/
Wake up at 6a.m and they work all the way till at 12-1a.m.. ><
I really dunno how i would've managed if i were them.
Really salute~

But i truly believe God knows each of our limits and he assigns us according to which He sees fit.:) praise God for that!

During the MHS (Minggu Haluan Siswa) week, i constantly fell sick. First, it was unexplainable dizziness. Its like, when i talk to someone, i couldn't focus..cuz the images would start to blur and when i stood up, it was like my body was floating and i couldn't walk properly. It went on for a few days prior to MHS. Went to see a few docs, they could not diagnose. Some said it was due to my low blood pressure. Most just gave me dizziness med..which did not work.. and another gave stugeron...which, after i ate, i felt less dizzy.

So came MHS, and i was in a way glad the dizzy spells were less apparent..cuz how am i gonna carry out my duties properly if im constantly dizzy? While i was dizzy, there's nothing much i could do except to sleep. If i read, the word would start to look like they can dance.haha.

But during the first or second day of MHS itself, right after my MCeeing event, i had a terrible stomach pain..I thought.'Why is this happening now?'...cuz i was scheduled for another MCeeing later that afernoon. Seems like it wasn't going away so the brothers from CG sent me to the uni's clinic/PKU. The doc wasn't in so the nurses checked on me and diagnosed it as gastric.

Gave me some meds to take and asked to me rest in the ward while waiting for the doc to come back. But despite taking the med, i still felt a piercing pain in my abdomen..so painful that i had to squat on the floor. And i almost nearly wailed. :0

But somehow or rather, the pain subsided by the time the doc returned..so she discharged me..and bro sent me back to my residential college to get a rest. I was honestly rily in pain and i tried to sleep but could not. Needless to say, all the nights event i could not attend already. But miraculously, the event in which i was supposed to MC was cancelled. In a way, thank God.hehe.

The pain kept coming on and off...on and off..And i was beginning to doubt it was gastric cuz it seemed like it was more of a wind/flatulence problem..which i memang have quite often =.='' Its like my stomach is very bloated. And this truly caused much pain. Even later in the night, i could not get a good sleep cuz the pain kept keeping me awake. The meds did not help.

Next morn, felt better..:) But towards the afternoon, the pain came back. *faints*
I thought it was over..mana tau it will come back again!
I really don't know what was going on with my body..it was like going haywire..
I had my meals, i ate what everybody else ate and drank..And i was very careful with the stuffs i ate..and tried as much possible to get regular meal hours, knowing myself. But yet......... it still plague me.

So, i had to go back to get rest again. Thankfully in the night i wasn't involved in much stuff so i could be excused. But i already missed quite a few sessions so i really was afraid it was going to become a not-so-good testimony to my dept's EXCO. Dun want them to think im lazy or what..

Another day passed and the new day dawn. Lo and behold, when i woke up, my stomach/ abdomen pain was gone. But the next thing i found out, the right side of my head was pounding. I really was speechless by then. Now what? headache? haha. It was beginning to get bizarrely funny~ And bro KY said my body is not in coordination.swt. =.='' Which is true to a certain extent.

So i woke up and went back to sleep again in order to get the pain away. Once i woke up in the evening, felt much better.:D so i went for the night session.

Mid-way thru the non-muslim session, i suddenly had this weird nerve problem.
My eyes was blinking and jumping uncontrollably..It was like they did it automatically and i could not control them at all! And while my eyes blinked profusely, i could not talk nor look people in the eye.
It occured every 5-10 mins.

Boy, was it a nuisance. Cuz i would talk to people half-way and had to excuse myself...Or i would be covering my face for like few mins and they would ask me 'Are u ok?'.

This syndrome out of all the sickness i had was the most worrying of them all. Cuz i could not control it. And worst of all, i dun even know what kinda syndrome is this! Nobody knew..including the bros and sis. And i was actually worried it could be my past epilepy playing tricks on me. Oh no..I was seriously terrified. But i braced myself and attended the night session.

But halfway thru the session, i could no longer take it. It was so severe that it i was losing control over my facial muscle movement. Yep, it was that scary. So the sisters arranged for the welfare unit to send me back to my residential college. And this was when i really had enough of all this nonsense. I really had enough of first the dizziness, then the stomach prob, headache and this eye thingy.

I stumbled upon a book entitled ' Turning Hopeless Situations Around' by Kenneth Hagin. Felt like i could identify with the title..opened it and started reading. Meanwhile, the twitch of eye blinkin sensation stopped.

To sum up the message of the book:

King Hezekiah was a character in the Bible who was sick to the point of death. God Himself had pronounced a death sentence on him and told him to set his house in order cuz his days were numbered. He was diagnosed with an incurable disease. (Isaiah 38:1-3). But unlike most of us who seek medical help first or look to man for solutions, what Hezekiah did next was out of the ordinary.

'Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how i have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.' (Isaiah 38:2)

Notice Hezekiah 'turned his face to the wall'.

Turning his face to the wall meant that Hezekiah that turned away from his symptoms; He turned away from his sensations; He turned away from his own sufferings; He turned away from symphatizing relatives; He turned away from medical skill, and He turned his face to the wall.

And with his face to the wall, Hezekiah could see only one thing : GOD.

When i read this portion, it just struck me. And it struck me really hard. Cuz i knew God was speaking to me.

The docs couldn't help me, the meds didnt, and nobody could. And i knew there was only one person left who could actually heal me completely. Why didn't i seek God much earlier then? i have to admit, the constant bouts of sicknesses had dampened my spirits and diluted my faith to a certain degree. I had doubts.

But God's Word is already clear that 'Without faith, it is impossible to please God'.
And i knew it was time to act and exercise my faith, like my dad told me before. He said, 'medicines are not a solution, the ultimate solution is God'.

I realized that prior to this, i was afraid of exercising my faith. But how could i anymore? if Hezekiah who was terminally ill could plead his case and cause even the great God to change His mind, i can too! God is not robot. He listens to our prayers and attends to our needs. Finally, God added 15 years to his life!

God is the same God yesterday, today and forevermore. We change, He does not. If He could do for Hezekiah many yrs ago, He can still do it for me today.

With this truth in hand, i decided to act on the Word of God and claim healing from the top of my head to the tip of my soles. I claimed it repeatedly and commanded all sicknesses to go in the name of Jesus. Cuz afterall, all believers have the authority. It has already been given to us. It is us who must act on it now.

After that i went to bed.:) The symptoms did not immediately go..it was there. But i ignored it, nullified it and slept peacefully.:)

And guess what? The next morning, once i woke up..all the symptoms and sicknesses were gone! Really praise GOD!
I was really, really elated that i was healed completely and that i dun have to miss sessions edi! :D

And i shared with some of the bros and sis about what happened.:)

Just really wanna thank the Lord for my healing.
Truly, He taught me that nothing in this world in too hard for Him.Even if u have cancer.Im serious.
And i also thank the Lord for teaching me thru these episodes to put my entire faith in Him.
And i realized also another vital point which truly touched my heart --- the very fact that God is more interested in me than in what i can do for Him.

I was all out to reach out for Him during MHS, but God could see that i needed to renew my faith and exercise it. Thus He allowed me to go thru it the hard way so I'd learn :)

Do know that whatever u are facing today, be it problems or challenges, nothing is impossible with God!:D

Are we too attached to the World?

I have so much to share at this point....Well, honestly, I have alot to share ever since I was sent to Parit Raja, Batu Pahat, Johor. And in a way, i broke a record i never thought i could: It has been almost a month since the last time i came back to KL.:)
And that is just something...that exceeds myself. Not that i am competing against anyone..like to see who can last longer living in a village-like place with dirty water or what.lol. I would say it was an inner struggle....I was struggling against myself. The carnal me wanted to run back to KL...a place of comfort and ease, but my spirit held me back each time. Because when i am away from the hustle and bustle of the city...there the Lord revealed much of Himself.

Praise be to God! Cuz i know if it weren't for Him, i would not have managed to 'tahan' so long for sure:)

Here's something I believe it is timely for me to share....It is from excerpted from David Wilkerson's online journal (Wilkerson is an American watchmen and intercessor).
A very short but awakening message.

We Are Too Earthbound

Have you noticed there is very little talk nowadays about heaven or about leaving this old world behind? Instead, we are bombarded with messages on how to use our faith to acquire more things. "The next revival," said one well-known teacher, "will be a financial revival. God is going to pour out financial blessing on all believers."

Any message about death bothers us. We try to ignore even thinking about it and think that those who discuss it are morbid. Occasionally we will talk about what heaven must be like, but most of the time the subject of death is taboo.

What a stunted concept of God's eternal purposes! No wonder so many Christians are frightened by the thought of death. The truth is, we are far from understanding Christ's call to forsake the world and all its entanglements. He calls us to come and die—and to die without building memorials to ourselves. To die without worrying how we should be remembered. Jesus left no autobiography—no headquarters complex—no university or Bible college. He left nothing to perpetuate his memory but the bread and the wine.

How different the first Christians were. Paul spoke much about death. In fact, our resurrection from the dead is referred to in the New Testament as our blessed hope. But nowadays, death is considered an intruder that cuts us off from the good life we have become accustomed to. We have so cluttered our lives with material things, we are bogged down. We can no longer bear the thought of leaving our beautiful homes, our lovely things, our charming sweethearts. We seem to be thinking, "To die now would be too great a loss. I love the Lord—but I need time to enjoy my real estate. I married a wife. I've yet to prove my oxen. I need more time."

What is the greatest revelation of faith, and how is it to be exercised? You will find it in Hebrews: "These all died in faith...and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.... But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city" (Hebrews 11:13 and 16).

.
.
.
.
Reflections.....

You know, there is absolutely nothing wrong with material blessings...And God loves to bless His children! But i can't help but ponder if... that our modern day Christianity has become so full of herself. So full of ourselves. More blessings, more wealth, more abundance. More more more. 'Give us more Lord'. And again i say, nothing wrong with blessings. Please don't get me wrong.:) I love being blessed too.

But the danger comes when our desire for blessings covers and hinders us from the reality of God and that our true citizenship is not here on earth. I know very well that i might be contradicting myself by saying all these....cuz i do admit its a 'dying to self' is continuous process and it is not done overnight. And i still have my desires. But still, i have to say what i feel i should say.

You can walk away feeling very offended and disgusted.. or you can ask God to help you digest His Word in Hebrews 11:13. I can only say so much, but ultimately, the Word of God stands the test of time :)

Those who sow in tears shall reap in J0Y! (Plus a MIRACLE story)

You know life is like a roller coaster.
You have your ''ups'' and your ''downs''.

Normally, my ''ups'' will surpass the ''downs''...prolly cuz im quite an optimistic person. I always believe in looking on the brighter side. Not the type to get EMO.
But no matter how ''up'' i go, there are times when i just have to come ''down''....

At this transition and juncture of my life, im at my lowest point.

I was making a very tough decision, and have already made the decision through much struggle, tears and pain. Thank God however. Cuz i know i am taking the best path and its the choice that pleases Him. But you know...i never knew obedience could be so painful and so difficult...

I've read of how the men and women of God in the Bible sacrificed the pleasures and comforts of their lives for God, just like Abraham and Queen Esther, but i never knew....it can be so, so hard to answer the call of God. So hard that you feel like running away...running back to where you can find solace.....just like Jonah at first...

What exactly did Jesus mean when He said that whoever wants to follow Him must take up their cross and follow Him?
Perhaps im getting an inkling of it now...
The cross is not a piece of cake. The one Jesus carried weighed so physically heavily upon him that He needed Simon of Cyrus to help Him carry on the way to Golgotha.
The cross He bore was approximately 76 kilograms. Imagine. Honestly, 2 kg is already too much for me to bear...

So when Christ said we had to carry our cross, i don't think He meant it was going to be an easy task. Not just physically, but in all emotional and spiritual aspect as well...

Jesus laid down all His rights as a Son of God..all His powers and glory.. when He descended to earth as a man. Jesus laid down that part of His rights as a Son of God in complete surrender to Father God. He had all the rights to question Father God, ''Why Me?''. I mean why couldn't Jesus have came in all His splendor and glory instead? That would have caused the whole world to believe that indeed, He is the Saviour.

But no, Jesus chose to obey the creative plan of Father God. I mean who would have thought that God would send His son to descend in human form? And as a tiny baby born in the lowliest manner? :)
I've come to realize that God's ways are always extraordinary and peculiar. Even in my life.(:

*
*
*
*

Obedience always brings about testing.
And honestly, i never knew the test can be so much harder and even more painful than the decision of obeying itself. If you get my point.

Obedience = Very hard
The test that comes with Obedience = So hard that can die.(not literally tho)

I feel so alone in this journey..
Now that im back in KL, I feel like i can escape the 'pain' back in Johor even just for a couple of days. But i know i will have to face reality sooner or later.
Oh that God would truly enlarge my capacity for Him~
and grant me strength to do His will.

God, i know you are with me. Your Word assures me again and again. Continue to uphold me with thy righteous right hand. Evil or schemes will not prevail against me. For if my God is for me then who can be against me? Help me to intensify my prayer life even in times of need, struggle and suffering, Lord. Amen.

Even in the midst of my lowest point, you know God is just so faithful? I can't help but to repeat that over and over again!
Here's a miracle experience to encourage everyone and to give JESUS all the glory!

My family has 2 cars. One Waja, and One old Merc.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, the Waja was stolen in the month of November last year.(2009)
It was stolen in Leisure Mall.. when my parents parked the car at the carpark, only to realize it was Gone when they came back! Poof! hilang!
They checked the CCTV with the guards and saw how the thieves drove the car away. So hebat...
Well,I'll spare you the details..but the point is the Waja was stolen.

And you know whats the truly amazing part?

Never once was a car stolen in the guards' 15 years of work at Leisure Mall.
It has NEVER occurred before.
That's what baffles all of us.

And the weirder part, why would the thieves wanna steal an old Waja (its WKH already..) when there were so many biggg luxurious cars like BMWs in the carpark?

And to top it off, i just came back from the prayer school, SOL at Sabah at that time when my mum broke the news to me. Call me crazy or super spiritual or what..But at that point, i just sensed that it might be a warfare. A deterrent from the evil one. I could be wrong but thats just my POV. But i knew even if it was not warfare, it was definitely a test from God.
Cuz the way it happened and why it happened as well as the timing was all too unusual....

Thereafter, my parents got over it. But it was difficult when there's only 1 car left and with 4 ppl in the family who needs to use it. ><
But we made do with whats left.
Oh and the awesome part?
My dad drove my mum to work during that period of time.hehe.
Rekindle the romance what right? haha
And they tried to claim insurance etc etc and our new car, a bigger and better one, is arriving soon.Due this week i think.

But you know the way God works is so amazing?
Just yesterday, my sis told me the police found the Waja!
Im like....W H A T??? S E R I O U S?
I have not got the details from my parents yet, but according to sis,
they caught the two thieves and the car is now at the police station.
After so long.....man...im utterly speechless....

First and foremost, how on earth can a car that is lost be found?
even retrieving a wallet is near impossible. A CAR???!!

I
can
only
say

WOW.

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH THE GOD I SERVE.

I was laughing all the way cuz i was in SHOCK.
And then i had to give thanks to God.
Not so much on getting back the car..my parents wud be happier with that..But because God showed me thru this incident that He is still the God who sits on the throne. No matter what is happening..even if the whole world turns their back against me.. God is still for me. He never fails. Never fails.

It was really a boost for me especially when im rather discouraged by circumstances now.
This incident reminded me about God being in control of EVERYTHING~

So now we will have 3 cars.
And i can't help but think, did God just answer my prayer for a car?(for university use)
Cuz i have recently been praying bout it. LOL.

Amazed I am

He always comes FIRST

This month has been a real busy month ..and the month of November as well..for me, but i thank God for His faithfulness throughout:

16 - 23rd November: Station of Life prayer school by Susan Tang in Sabah. One of the best things that i have ever experienced in my life! Serious.
It surpasses camps or conferences. It's just...one-of-a-kind...
I have so much to share abt this that it'll take at least 3 days for me to finish sharing what God has spoken to me and revealed thru that one week plus of spiritual ''recharging'' period. Some of you already know the full story and bits of pieces of it...Its truly, truly amazing...

7 - 9 Dec: Oversea shopping trip cum stocks-taking trip for my e-biz. Bought in loadsssss of clothes and bags. And for the very first time, i used up all the $ till the very last 2 bucks. =.=
You will understand me if you saw what i saw there. It's seriously such a wonder cuz they're so up to date with trends and prices are cheaper. :) whats not to love?

and right after that..the next morning....

10-12 Dec: Asian Pacific Youth Alive Conference (APYAC) in GTPJ where 29 different nations gathered together for one person - JESUS! =D
Psst. But i skipped the 1st day cuz i was tooooo tired from travelling..need loads of rest.
Loads on that too...Once more, God reassured and reconfirmed certain issues/lessons with me. And through this conference, i also heard His voice even sharper and clearer than before. Thank You Lord..

14 Dec: Our 47th month anniversary :))
A simple celebration.heee.

In between, there are also loads of musical prep since im in the make up and costume team.. caroling practises...etc

Seems like time just passes so quickly...and it's already mid-december. By the end of this month, i'll be returning to uni for Sem II already. sighs. Somehow i do feel like im gonna go back with a very heavy heart cuz parting is never easy..even after you think you've gotten used to it by now... but no...its still a painful thing to say goodbye. Especially after knowing that the goodbyes will be even longer in the time to come....... =(
Well, just trusting Him that if He puts me and calls me for His plans and purposes, He will surely enable me. He will give me the strength..yes, the strength......to let go and let God. Amen.

*
*
*
*

On a separate note...just felt like expressing my sincere thanks&gratitude to God for giving me good results in uni's Semester I. Very random i know, but i believe if God blesses me i shouldn't keep it to myself but give Him the due glory. Lest i unknowingly steal His glory..Plus this testimony could be an encouragement to some of you perhaps? :)

Just found out abt my results today...didnt know it was out for so long edi =.= lols
I checked online. XD

Quite surprisingly i got 3As, 1B+ and 1B-. Which is quite an accomplishment for me already. i've never really been a flying colours type of student you know... Josh is, not me. =p
And i was just so shocked that i was on the verge of crying cuz God's goodness really amazes me! Its so unexpected.....
And to top it off, i got a CGPA of 3.61 for the final accumulation..which qualifies me for the Dean's List(> 3.5) this sem. :)
Can't say how thankful am i.
It was my prayer to get above CGPA 3.5 above but never imagined it would become a reality..knowing myself...hehe

Now please dun get me wrong yea..not trying to blow my trumpet here cuz i rily have nothing to blow abt...except the very fact that God is so good and His favour surrounds us like a shield (Psalm 4:12).
And once more, Matthew 6: 33 'Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto You' is made manifest.
God really means it when He tells us that when we put Him first, He will surely bless everything else we do!
Our studies/work, businesses, family, relationships, etc. Cuz these things are literally 'all these things' that will be added unto us. =D How awesome is that promise!

So when you are torn between studying for exams and going for cell group when the next day is your exam..then remember that God is ever faithful. Sometimes you might not get immediate results or you might not even do as well as some of your friends. But God will reward you accordingly. Know that God is a fair and just God. :))

I can testify to this because the day before my Management paper was Sunday. And my service in Batu Pahat requires me to spend 7 am - 4pm + in church..and the journey back and forth. So most of my time to study would have been ''used up'' by then. When frenz are busy mugging, im singing songs and praying and even fellowshipping? lol.

It would seem like its a such a contradictory action but aren't we all called to live life that is opposite to the standards of the world? :)
Even Jesus lived so differently that He stood out among the people so much so that the teachers of the law wanted to stone Him because they couldn't accept His difference although He was really just doing the will of the Father. He was blameless ina ll His way and conduct.

And honestly i wasnt even half way thru the studying by 9pm and exam was in the morning but by God's grace the end result was a cgpa of 4.00 for that sub. Not by my intelligence..nope, certainly not..but only because i chose to put God first.
It's really simple. :)

Too many a times we choose to use our own efforts and ways and means to achieve results but we forget to lean on the God with whom all things are possible!
Now, im not trying to imply you shouldnt study hard yea... You must also so your part but surrender and leave the rest to God.

And always remember that whatever the outcome is, give thanks! In all circumstances give thanks! :) try not to compare..hehe..although i have this tendency to. Know that whether ur result is good, bad, very good or not bad...God's glory can still be manifested in your life!
Well, i had my share of verrrry bad results too....:p
Not many of you know that i failed a subject in STPM eh...haha... It's impossible by human means to enter a local uni if you fail even a subject....but.........this is all for the sake of lifting up His name!
I used to be very apprehensive abt sharing this embarrassing thing.. but like i said earlier..if God blesses me...its not right that i shud keep it...Cuz then His purpose for this would not be accomplished isn't it? (:

Well, thats all fer now....
Just a sudden inspiration..typed almost without stopping....
Remember Matt 6:33. :)

The Time is at Hand

I felt lead to post this up...

Paul wrote, “We beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand” (2 Thessalonians 2:1-2).

Scoffers point out, “See, someone in the early church shook up believers with the message that Christ was about to come. And Paul told them, ‘No, don’t worry about it. Don’t let it trouble or concern you.’”

But that is not what the original Greek reveals. The root word is “[be not shaken]…that the day of the Lord has come.” What disturbed the Thessalonians was they thought Christ had already come, and that they’d missed it. Paul reassures them in the next verse, “Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” (2:3). Paul was only addressing their fears when he said, “Don’t be worried, because two things have to happen first.”

So, what was Paul’s primary theology about Christ’s return? We find it in two passages: “Knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand” (Romans 13:11-12). “Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand” (Philippians 4:5).

Paul is crying, “Wake up! It’s past midnight already. The Lord’s coming is drawing near, so stir yourself. Don’t be slothful. Jesus is coming for those who expect him.”

Skeptics may ask, “But what about Paul’s own words? He did say two things had to happen before Christ returns. First, the Lord can’t come until a great apostasy takes place. And second, the Antichrist has to rise up and proclaim himself God. We have to see the Antichrist sitting in the temple, demanding that people worship him, before Jesus will come.”

First of all, you have to be willfully blind not to see a raging apostasy gripping the whole world. Unbelief is sweeping through nations, with believers falling away from faith on all sides. The apostasy Paul refers to has clearly arrived.

Some may say, “Paul clearly says Jesus can’t come until the Antichrist is in power.” Consider what Scripture says: “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son” (1 John 2:22). According to John, the Antichrist is anyone who denies the Father and the Son. Moreover, he says, the increase of such Antichrists is proof we are living in the very last days.

In short, nothing is holding back Christ’s return!

If you doubt that miracles happen, read this.

If you have ever doubt that God hears even the slightest whispers in your heart, or if you wondered how a great God could have enough time for YOU when He obviously has so many other important things to take care of, then i would like to dedicate this post to you.

And if u don't think God is real; let alone exist..and that miracles are only a fabrication..then all the more, i would want you to read this. ;)

All that i'm about to share is based on my recent life experiences.
And these testimonies seek only to glorify the Lord Jesus!
He must increase, i must decrease.

Please take time to read this if you will...This is worth your time =))

And God has revealed to me thru these experiences that He still does great miracles today! Miracles are definitely NOT a thing of the past. God is the same today, tomorrow and forevermore. And if He performed signs and wonders thousands of years ago, rest assured, He still does them in our generation today! Praise the Lord =D

Episode 1: The Bus Incident

If you read my blog post previously, you would find out that God really cares about even the littlest things in your life. Things which you reckon are insignificant...He still does care.
The same thing happened last week.

And this time, it also seemed like the driver wasn't going to stop for a toilet break. Gosh..i was getting a lil worried cuz this time, my bladder was reaaaally reaally full. Any more delays and i will not be able to hold it much longer.

Then, i asked the Lord, 'God..how....i seriously can't stand for another half an hour...let alone 1 hour...' ( there was still abt 1 hour+ for the journey)

And then i heard the Holy Spirit reminding me gently about what God has told me previously that He will indeed take care of everything. All i need to do is trust and believe.
And so...i just believed. Eventhough in the natural human state of mind..especially when u're in a dire situation, its really hard to let go and trust God right?

I kept telling myself and the Lord that i will believe Him for the bus to stop.Real soon.
Cuz seriously, this time was really at an emergency state already! haha
And then the miracle happened.

The bus slowed down and came to a stop.
Can you imagine my estatic-ness?!
I was literally dumbfounded by His great work. For the second time.
I almost cried with joy but all i could do way smile all the way down to the washroom... amazed and in awe of the greatness of Jesus.
Seriously, the Lord is a great God. All glory to Him!

Episode 2: The Sandwich incident

Usually Josh would get me some food to eat once i reach puduraya. Since i am food-less for 3-4 hours in the bus and i can't really eat anything either, cuz if i do eat, i will need to drink. And even jz a lil bit of water will make me wanna go to the loo.
My storage system is really tiny i think. o.o

Feeling pretty famished since i was rushing back for Josh's convocation de next morning, i didnt have time for dinner.
And at the same time, i was craving for Italian BMT from Subway! The best sandwiches ever! ;)
So Josh left house real early( an hour before my time of arrival) to drive to Pavilion to get Subway for me. How sweet of him..=)
thank you dearest for going the extra mile. =)

But here's when the testing came.

He met with a massive traffic jam near the bukit bintang area and was stucked.....took him a real loooong time to get to Pavilion. And that time was already around 10.20pm.
And so he sms-ed me to tell me he most likely wouldn't be able to get the sandwich. I was devastated. =/
Cuz i really felt like having the BMT today....plus i was starving...huhu

Then i had this sudden inclination and i replied, 'Dear.. lets pray and believe that God will keep the store opened for us! '
And so we masing-masing prayed. =)
Me in the bus, he in his car.

When he finally reached Pavilion, it was roughly 10:4opm already.
Took us great faith to believe that it will still be opened.
I can imagine him running all the way to the subway store to get my sandwich.
Here's the funny part! =)
When he went to subway, the store was opened. Praise the Lord!
But when he asked the counter they said, 'Sorry sir..we're not operating anymore...'
Meaning, sudah mau tutup kedai. =.='

...................
LOL.

I was so amazed cuz God is seriously such a humourous God!
Yes, He answered our prayer specifically the way we asked.
We asked for the store to be opened and we got it.
What we forgot to pray is for the store to be opened and to be still operating its business!!
Hahaha.

So this is what Josh did next.
He decided to run all the way to the other Subway store. The nearest was along the BB street. Quite far actually.
But to him, there's no harm in trying. ;)
thanks once again dear

Then this time, we both prayed that it will be opened AND will be operating. haha.
And i waited in anticipation for his good news. XD
Now, the time was already around 11pm....and most shops would have been closed by now..
Really a testing of one's faith.
When he reached there..wow.....He miraculously managed to get the Italian BMT sandwich!
Wooot!
Praise You Jesus!
Indeed, the Lord took care of even this little craving of mine.
thank you so so much Lord.

Episode 3: The Drilling

I've shared this with some of my friends and my CG members in johor before..It occurred abt few weeks ago.=)

This one IS really a miracle.

My neighbours, both the left and right one, has been doing some drilling work for their house renovations for the past few months. I'm telling you, it can get sooo annoying cuz the drillings are just above your head and beside your ears.
And it goes on from 9-5pm. ><
I had an assignment due very soon and i was determined to finish it the next morning itself.
But then again, how was i going to do my assignment in a day with all those crazy drilling going on?

Then i had this idea...why don't i pray for the drilling to stop for even just a day?
Hmm...yea..this is definitely workable i said to myself.
So i said a simple prayer the night before.

Come next morning, mum told me the neighbours said drilling wud start at 10.30. I waited till 10.30 to see if it would start or not. Cuz after this time has passed, then i can be pretty sure the ''danger zone'' is settled and there would prolly be no drilling after that.hehe.
My bro and mum was sitting opposite me on the breakfast table, and when i told them boldly that there would be no drilling, i could see that they were half skeptical, half believing. haha.
It's only natural rite =)

And right after i uttered those words, the drilling started! That was 10:40am.
Boy, it was as if the Lord was testing my faith.
And i have to admit..my faith wavered quite a bit...and doubt crept in.
But i reminded myself that i really, truly have to believe God for that miracle.

So i said to my bro and mum this time, 'Believe me...it WILL stop. I believe it will.'
And i remember my bro laughed at my statement. haha.
But guess what?
Around 10 minutes later--- It stopped.
Yes, the drilling stopped.
And for the entire day after that, there was no drilling at all.
Only an occasional sound i heard..but that was it.
No thunderous and annoying drilling.
Only peace and quietness. =)

Can you not be amazed at the Lord when He does such great things before your very eyes?
Surely, the Lord can do for you what He did for me!
You just have to believe.

Even my parents and bro was shocked at what happened.
I was still in a state of awe.
And the next morning, the drillings went back as per usual.
Wow.
Jesus is real and alive!
I told one of my roomie, 'Don't be afraid to test God. He will answer you if you'd just believe...'
Remember that my friends.

Amen!

Phew..can't believe i've typed so much...there's still two episodes to go. Both of which jz happened this week itself.
Prolly i'll blog abt it in the next post.;)

But here's another testimony to glorify the Lord.
It's really not by my own might but by His grace and favour that i managed to attain the highest marks for a mid term paper in my faculty, consisting of BPA and BPB students for one of my course this sem,Principles of Management.
(I'm from BPA by the way...which stands for pure technology management students)

Thank you Lord for that blessing cuz i really don't deserve it...but only by your favour Lord.
And I'm reminded of Matthew 6:33..that when you put God first in your life, He will not cease to bless you abundantly! Really one.

And in fact, my marks of 92% only has a difference of 1 mark compared to the other two students who both got 91%.
Hmm..its true that one mark makes alot of difference...;)

Once again, thank you Lord. =)
I can never thank You enough.

Dear friends, if you would like to experience the power and real-ness of Jesus like i did,let me encourage you to do so by just saying this simple prayer:
It only takes 2 minutes. =))

"Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that without you in my heart my life is meaningless.

I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Him from the dead. Please Jesus forgive me, for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need you to be my Father and my friend.

I give you my life and ask you to take full control from this moment on; I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let me experience your love and grace and real-ness in my life God. Take away every unbelief and doubt in me.

In Jesus name,

Amen.

The God of Small things

On Thursday, on my way back from Johor (to KL),I suddenly felt very in need of the washroom!
Usually in the first half of the 3 hour+ journey, the bus driver will stop at a resthouse for us to 'let go'. But weirdly, this time round, even after 2 hours..the bus showed no signs of stopping.. ><

I was on the verge of bursting. Really couldn't hold it in any longer.
And there was once or twice, the particular bus driver did not stop all the way until we reached KL.So i was afraid it might happen this time! haha

Gosh, the torture of wanting to go to the loo but yet having to wait for another 1 plus hour =/

Then i started to ''complain'' to God..saying..'Lord..aiyoyo..why this bus driver didnt stop one? I really beh tahan(can't stand it) liao...'

And then i continued to anticipate and wait to see if he would stop or not. Normally, if the bus showed signs of stopping...it would slow down and drive to a left corner (since the rest room is at the left side.
But nope, no signboards indicating a restroom nearby. =.= And the bus kept going and going.

All of a sudden, i heard a voice telling me 'Do you trust Me enough to take care of everything?'
I was like..'Huh..?'
cuz i was in a very dire state of need and wasn't really in the mood to pay attention to anything already.

Then the miraculous and unthinkable happened!
About less than 5 seconds after i heard The Voice, which i now know it is the voice of the Holy Spirit, the bus started slowing down.
I was taken aback. And i wondered, hmm..is it a jam?
But when i sat upright, i immediately saw a resthouse beside me!

Can you imagine that?
I was so stunned that i almost couldn't move out of reverential fear.
Even while i was rushing to the toilet.. i kept thinking about what has just occurred.
Surely no one can deny it was God who was at work.
It simply could not have been a coincidence. =D

It wasn't even a prayer..i was more like complaining and asking God..but even in the pettiest things of our life, He cares and He takes notice. =)
Thank You Lord!
It's so amazing.I'm still very amazed by what has happened that day =)

And this incident is also in a way God's answer to my prayer. Cuz i've always prayed that He would help me recognize His 'still, small voice'.My desire is to hear His voice clearly and to recognize it when He speaks.
Sometimes it can be so difficult..cuz i dunno if im imagining things or if its my own voice talking.
So im still in the process of learning how to identify His Voice clearly =))
And i thank Him for this experience cuz now i know that when i hear a similar voice in future, it is the Lord speaking through the dear Holy Spirit. Amen! =)

If you doubt that God cares about the small, seemingly insignificant things in your life, remember my story. He certainly does!

Return to Your First Love! (continued from previous post)

This post is continued from the previous one. ;) It may be slightly longer than usual. But this post shares one of the most significant happenings in my life from the beginning of the year till now,Oct 12. =)
And if you are a believer, then all the more you should read this yea..=) Forgive me if i sound a lil harsh at some point, but know that i'm just saying whatever that needs to be said..=)
Like i mentioned earlier, sharing the gospel with others is not an easy task. At least for most of us. Agree much?
I guess for many of us, the great desire to reach out isn't even present in our lives..nor is there a burning desire to see our relatives and friends get saved. Therefore, naturally, the thought of reaching out doesn't even exist.

At least, not until God gives you a wake up call like He did for me.

Have you ever wondered why pastors and missionaries are so passionate about sharing the gospel in whatever opportunity they can get? Or have you seen some of your believing friends who are always so eager to invite others to CF or churches?
and yet...wondered why you couldn't care less....?

First and foremost, it is because we have become too preoccupied with our daily lives and daily routine that instead of putting God first, we put Him second, or third or for some of us, last.
But remember this, God said He will bless us abundantly and everything, including our studies, family, relationships, etc will fall perfectly into place when we seek Him FIRST! =) Matthew 6:33

I have to say this one thing, which i've learnt recently eversince i was sent to johor, about sharing the gospel with others-- it requires a lot of love.
Both love for the Lord and for the people around us.
Love is the key that prompts you and stirs you to share the gospel even when there are better things to do.. like, studying for the coming test.
~1 Corinthians 13:13 '...But the greatest of these is love'

Without Love for the Lord, you cannot love others enough to want to tell them about this great God who carries all our burdens and who loved me and you so so much that He even sacrificed His One and Only Son to be the atonement for our sins. And without a genuine love for the people around us, how can we even begin to say we love God, whom we cannot see with our naked eyes?

*
*
*

I have to admit, the last time i truly opened my mouth to share the good news/ The gospel was like...5 yrs ago? After PMR. That, i truly remember, because i know i really prayed hard for that friend of mine to be saved and i kept rehearsing how to share the love of the gospel properly so that i won't miss out anything important.
My friend was saved. PTL! =) But again, i know that it is the dear Holy Spirit who convicts a person. Not our words or skills..but it is Him..the Holy Spirit =)

And during my form 6 years(2007-2008)..there was once or twice..i remember..=) but i wouldn't say those were planned. There were opportunites, so i just did as i felt lead by the Holy Spirit. And i thank God i did, cuz the fruits of the labor are now attending church regularly, and one, has been a great encouragement to me. Even going to extent of winning many souls for Christ's kingdom!
Indeed, he is the seed that fell on good soil and came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown. Luke 8:8

Indeed, he has been a great encouragement to my spiritual walk. Keep up the great work. You know who you are! =D And know that our labor in the Lord will never be in vain! (1 cOR 15:58) Amen.

Eversince i came to Johor, i've changed quite a bit. For the better. =) Even in just a span of 4 months.
I've learnt to appreciate the simpler things in life. You know..the people here are so contented with the little they have...like my roommates..That taught me alot.
Coming from a city like KL, i really had a major culture shock when i first arrived. I complained alot about why i had to be sent to such an obscure place...with
dead shopping malls,
dirty environments,
bathing with cold water daily,
having to wash my own clothes..do the laundry...
hang the clothes...tidy my bed...
And eating the same old food everyday till i literally fell ill.
Name me all the mamak food and i can tell u i've eaten most of them. Since there's only one mamak stall opposite my hostel. haha.

You know, i've been so used to being pampered at home by my maid that i really felt homesick when i first arrived here..no doubt i cried myself to sleep....
But now, i must say life is not only better, it is pretty awesome now! haha
The Lord has been really faithful. And when He says He will never leave you nor forsake you..He mean it. =D

Oh, and dining with cats jumping on your chair and table is a norm already.(the cats here are wayyyy aggresive! I have this theory that the cats in Johor are so malnourished and underfed that their defense mechanism in order to survive is to launch attacks on humans while we are trying to eat the already hard-to-swallow-food. hahaha. Its madness i tell you. I have never seen such a cat in KL before! )

It still makes me terriffied though. =.=
But i think after 3 years, i can wine and dine with them peacefully already...0.0
Who knows we might even be allies? *rolls eyes*

*
*
*

WOW..i realized im getting a lil sidetracked. Back to main issue. ;)
One of the greatest things that has happened eversince i came here is--- the restoration of my first love towards Jesus my Lord and saviour. =))

It's a good thing the wifi connection is slow..there's no tv here.. no distractions... just a simple kampung lifestyle....
uz this very point has led me to spend more time sitting at the feet of Jesus just like Mary did. And not just go around being busy with ministry and service like Martha. Although what she did was also good. But we must learn to breakaway from our ministries burden and load...surrender it to Jesus and 'come, sit at my feet and fellowship with Me.'

For this is the very heart cry of God for all of us. Because so many of us are so worn out with everyday burdens and we carry too much heavy loads & these are the very things..the cares of the world, that hinders us from spending quality time with the lord.
By the time we want to spend time with the Lord, we are either too tired, lazy or overwhelmed. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Although, it is the King of Kings' hearts desire to spend time with me and you,Yet, we fail to give Him even a lil time of ours. Say, the President of USA, Barack Obama tells you ' I need a few minutes of your time..'
Now, wouldn't you do whatever it takes to have that little time with him?
No matter how busy you are you will still take time off for him.
And now, the King above all the kings and The Lord above all the lords and the God of the heavens and the earth wants to fellowship with you. What will you say to Him?
He is waiting and waiting, patiently and eagerly, for us to commune with Him. But instead, we are hooked to the comp..to the tv..to even our studies...the many other things which should come after the Lord.
Oh, how it must have grieved the Spirit of the Lord when we did not put Him first!
If the Lord is speaking to you now...if you feel an unusual sensation in your heart..then please, respond and repent, and do not grieve the Holy Spirit anymore my dear friends.
For the Lord loves us so much that He desires of our hearts and our time...
Isn't it our great privilege and blessing that we mere humans would be called the sons and daughters of the Most High God?
Who am i that i should deserve of your attention Lord?
that you would even know the days fashioned for me? and even the numbers of hair on my head Lord, you know. =)
Pray this prayer of repentance dear beloved of God:
Father God, today, i repent of my wrongdoings..i repent for not spending enough time with You Lord. Forgive me Lord for forsaking my first love and letting the things of the world take Your place. Even now, i seek your grace and mercy. Do not turn your back on me anymore Lord...but rather, let your face shine upon me.I am reminded Lord of your unconditional love and sacrifice for me on the cross of Calvary, which bore my sins, shame and iniquities. And i ask that you refresh my Spirit and renew the covenant i once had with you Lord.Help me draw near to You Lord even as you draw near to me.
Thank You Father. In Jesus name, Amen.
